This error occurs when your limit order price is outside the permitted range of the current market price.
Placing limit orders within 5% above or 5% below the current market price is allowed. Orders placed outside this range will be rejected.
Example
If a stock is currently trading at $100, you can generally place a limit order between $95 and $105.
If your order price falls outside this range, you may receive the error “MS Rejection: Order Price Not in Range.”
How to fix it
Adjust your limit order price to fall within the permitted 5% range, then submit the order again.
