Why Does the FREE $100,000 ToroChallenge® Only Offer Stocks and ETFs? Can I Trade Crypto, Forex, Gold, or Futures?
The FREE $100,000 ToroChallenge® is designed specifically for U.S. stock and ETF day trading.
This is a deliberate decision.
trader2B has specialized in U.S. equity trading for many years, and our trading technology, risk-management systems, evaluation model, and live funded trading infrastructure are designed specifically around the U.S. stock market.
We believe stocks and ETFs provide several advantages for evaluating traders:
A large and highly liquid market
Thousands of publicly traded companies and ETFs
Transparent exchange-based pricing
Defined regular trading hours
Significant trading opportunities across different sectors
Strong liquidity in actively traded U.S. stocks
A market structure well suited to professional day trading
A good balance between volatility and risk control
Stocks can provide enough volatility to create meaningful day-trading opportunities, while still allowing traders to manage position size, buying power, stop losses, and daily risk within a structured environment. Compared with some highly leveraged or less regulated products, this can make risk easier to control and evaluate.
For that reason, the following instruments are not permitted in the FREE ToroChallenge®:
Forex
Cryptocurrencies
Futures
CFDs
US500 and other index products
You may see some of these instruments displayed on certain parts of the trading platform, but they are not eligible for the challenge.
For example, US500 is not the same instrument as SPY. US500 generally refers to an index or CFD product, while SPY is a U.S.-listed ETF that tracks the S&P 500. SPY may be traded when it is included in the approved ToroChallenge® symbol list.
The FREE ToroChallenge® is a day-trading-only program. Trading is permitted during regular U.S. market hours from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM New York time, and positions cannot be carried overnight.
