Trading During a Game
During a traderFi game, an entire historical stock-market trading session is replayed in approximately five minutes.
You must make trading decisions as the market moves.
The trading screen
The game interface may display:
- Current market price
- Bid price
- Ask price
- BUY button
- SELL button
- Order quantity
- Open position
- Available buying power
- Current profit or loss
- Remaining game time
- Tournament ranking
How to buy
Select BUY when you want to open or increase a long position.
Before submitting the trade:
- Enter or select your quantity.
- Review the displayed market information.
- Click BUY.
- Confirm the order when required.
- Check your open position.
How to sell
Select SELL when you want to:
- Close a long position
- Reduce a long position
- Open a short position, when permitted
- Increase an existing short position
How to close a position
To close a long position, submit a SELL order for the same number of shares.
To close a short position, submit a BUY order for the same number of shares.
Monitor your performance
During the game, regularly review:
- Open positions
- Position size
- Available virtual capital
- Realized profit and loss
- Unrealized profit and loss
- Remaining time
- Current tournament ranking
Market replay speed
The chart moves much faster than a normal trading session because a complete trading day is compressed into approximately five minutes.
Make sure you consider the accelerated speed when choosing your position size and trading frequency.
